FABREGAS not undergo surgery

According to Arsenal official website, Cesc Fabregas will be out for "three to four months" after suffering a serious knee injury against Liverpool on Sunday.


The Spanish midfielder suffered a partial rupture of his medial knee ligaments just before half-time in Sunday’s Premier League game with Liverpool. The 21-year-old will not require surgery but the injury is likely to keep him out for around four months."


After consulting with the best doctor possible, we've decided not to operate," Fabregas was quoted as saying in Marca. He said, the doctor didn't recommended him to do it because he is still young and the meniscus is not damaged.


The Arsenal captain was hurt in a challenge with his Spanish team-mates Xabi Alonso (Liverpool) at Emirates Stadium.


Although his injury is very serious, Fabregas does not angry to Alonso. "He was very concerned about me. He called me after the game. These are things that happen, it's football and Xabi is a great friend of mine,” he said.

For Fabregas, it is the first serious injury he has had in his career. “Everybody gets injured and now it's my turn. I will have to wait, undertake my recovery and return as soon as possible."


Arsenal’s coach Arsene Wenger said, the first six weeks will be the most horrible in the healing of Cesc Fabregas. The first steps are the most painful –mentally and physically.


The absent of Fabregas will make The Gunners more difficult to grap a top position in Premier League, because Fabregas is the play maker and soul of the team.


Cesc Fabregas born at 4 May 1987 in Arenys de Mar, Barcelona (Spain). FC Barcelona began Fàbregas his club football career. But on 11 September 2003 he decided to join Arsenal because he sensed have limited the opportunities to play in a first-team at the Camp Nou.


On 24 November 2008, Fàbregas was named as the successor to William Gallas as club captain.


On 15 May 2006, Fàbregas was selected for the Spanish 2006 World Cup squad. He became the youngest player in Spanish football history to participate in a World Cup.*
